Hodge is the third actor to portray Cross
Story
A TV series adaptation of James Patterson’s novels about the complex and brilliant detective Alex Cross. He follows in the footsteps of Morgan Freeman, who first played him in the 1997 film “Kiss the Girls” and the 2001 film sequel “Along Came a Spider,” and Tyler Perry in the title role in the 2012 film “Alex Cross.” The film was a box office flop and prompted Lionsgate to cancel a planned sequel, “Double Cross.” I’m a fan of the Alex Cross books and was happy to finally see an actor fill the role.
Ryan Eggold did not disappoint and played the role brilliantly
He played the character well, with just the right amount of aggression and emotion. With “The Blacklist” and “New Amsterdam,” he showed how versatile he can be.
The lighting technician enjoyed the dark, moody, atmospheric lighting on the set
I would have given it a much higher score if I had actually seen who was on screen at any given time. It was dark and often made it difficult to watch the series.
I’m not the only one who thinks that way
I liked the plot, but I hated the inadequate lighting needed to follow the story. I hope there is a second series and that you read all the reviews.
