I’ve always loved the DC Universe, and while I think the DCEU was overhyped, I was very disappointed with several of the DCEU projects. This series has some great characters and is very creative.
I think when James Gunn says that superhero movies and TV have become too common, that’s their key
They’ve had so many superhero movies in the last decade that when people see a new one come out they don’t go to the theaters because they think “another superhero movie has been way too many” Like their all the same, just generic action movies (especially the sequels) I think James Gunn is really going to turn things around and I can’t wait for that. I also think that since Marvel has been so much more popular, DC has a lot of great characters that have been overlooked (by fans) and I think if everything DC does is successful in the next couple of years then the lesser known characters will do well at the box office as long as they can grab people’s attention and make them feel really special.

Following the events of The Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin, is trying to take over Gotham’s criminal underworld. Aside from a Bat-Signal in the final shot of the season finale, we never got our Robert Pattinson cameo in “The Penguin.” This short film from IMDb tries to answer: Where the hell was Batman?. Colin Farrell fought tooth and nail to get his version of The Penguin to smoke tobacco in The Batman (2022), but he failed.

I have been waiting for The Penguin since it was first announced as a series and I can say that it is exactly as good as I expected. He was a standout in The Batman and is even better in the lead role. On top of that, Cristin Milioti is just as good as Sofia Falcone.
I hope we get to hear more stories like this from this world
The two of them are fighting to see who is the number one gangster in Gotham and “bring order to all the chaos”. Some were worried that a supporting character like The Penguin wouldn’t carry the show and wouldn’t work without Batman or Bruce Wayne, but don’t worry because this is more than just a villain character in a superhero show, it’s a great crime drama in its own right. It’s a dark, gritty crime drama that is so much fun to watch unfold.

So far the show is good, very good, I can’t get rid of one feeling, it’s the daughter. The show states that the daughter is 17, and then they proceed to sexualize her in an extreme way!
The shower scene, the talk about sex with the dad, the butt show!
All of these scenes have nothing to do with the story and make for uncomfortable viewing. I understand what they are doing with the character, a daughter going down a wrong path and her father will set her on the right path.
I wish they would have rewritten his status and I have no idea how this got to the editors
This could have easily been avoided by just stating that she is 18, you can be 18 and still be in high school!
