The impact of the story is that 80 years ago someone wrote about a global pandemic and its eventual impact on people. Ish represents the reader, someone who didn’t have to watch people die, watch the news, feel the hopelessness and defeat.

This is very much in line with the poem Ozymandias

Those he meets represent the ways in which people can cope with these enormous losses. The fragility of man and the courage of humanity in its achievements.

During the hiatus caused by the writers' strike, creator Vince Gilligan, impressed by Aaron Paul's portrayal of Jesse as well as everybody just liking Paul, decided to reinstate the character and have Jesse's fate be given to another character in the finale of the first season.. In the opening credits, letters in the names of the cast and crew are highlighted in green to represent chemical element symbols. However, the "Ch" in Michael Slovis' name was highlighted in several early episodes, even though Ch is not a chemical element symbol.

During a discussion after the film, it occurred to me that the first comment was one of empathy for the parents.

I even noticed that many adults are beyond help

I had to counter that in the madness and horror of the world, children are tragically and inexplicably ignored. The director insisted that they had to be reintegrated into the “good democratic society”, and even that they are oblivious to their horrible acts (they have good intentions).

It won the YOUNG JURY PRIZE at the Sofia Film Festival for a film in the International Competition

However, his film seems not so much a dissection of the vulnerability of adults in trouble as an ode to that of children. P.S.

Season 1 covers the first 30 chapters of the book "Wool" – the book has 82 chapters.. The fans on the floor in various episodes turn in the wrong direction, regarding the orientation of the blades.

I have just started watching this show

Featured in WatchMojo: Top 10 2023 TV Shows You Need to Binge (2023). Something has stood out from the beginning. The sound of the actors’ voices are very clear. My compliments to the sound people, this is a small miracle.

Perhaps it’s something to do with the acoustics of a silo?

I very frequently struggle to hear what actors are saying in shows and films. But I think not, I believe it is down to some very good work by the movie sound people who record and edit the voices of the actors. It is rare to hear the voices of actors with such delightful clarity. It’s almost like hearing the voices of actors in the theatre, it’s so good.

I actually enjoyed it

I am several episodes in now and I am enjoying the acting and the story. There are good characters well portrayed and something is gradually being unraveled with regard to the history and operational details of the silo. I’m not sure where it’s all leading yet, but it’s certainly keeping me engaged. I have now completed series one.

There is a significant element of the ending that is identical to a reveal that happens in a film

To avoid spoilers I won’t say the name of the film, but I’m sure others know the one that I mean if they’ve seen it. This did not detract from my enjoyment of Silo and I’m not sure who came up with the idea first in any event as I don’t know when the book that Silo was based on was written.
